Getting Started

How do I start a project?

Complete the guided project intake. It takes a few minutes and gives our team what we need to review your project and respond with next steps.

Do I need drawings before contacting you?

No. Many clients come to us with nothing but an address and a business plan. We tell you what is needed.

What happens after I submit the form?

You receive a confirmation email with your project reference number, and our team reviews your information and contacts you about next steps.

Process and Timeline

How long does permitting take?

It varies by jurisdiction, scope, and review queue. We confirm the expected timeline for your project and keep it updated in your portal.

What is a correction letter?

It is the jurisdiction's list of comments on your submittal. We prepare a coordinated response and manage the resubmittal.

Can you take over a project already submitted?

Yes. We regularly take over stalled applications and manage them to approval.

Pricing and Agreements

How is pricing determined?

Scope, building size, and the number of permits and disciplines involved. You receive an itemized written proposal before work begins.

Are jurisdiction fees included?

Jurisdiction fees are set by the reviewing authority and are shown separately from our professional fees.

How do I pay?

Invoices are issued through your client portal and can be paid online or by other arranged methods.

Working With Us

Will I have one point of contact?

Yes. Every project is assigned a Permit Guru, LLC contact who is shown in your client portal.

How do I see project status?

Your client portal shows the current phase, outstanding items, documents, proposals, invoices, and messages.

Do you guarantee approval?

No firm can. We prepare complete submittals and manage every review cycle to keep your project moving.
